Joseph C. Wilson, IV was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated with honors from McCallie School (1983), attended Boston University as a Trustee Scholar (full academic scholarship), graduating magna cum laude (B.A., 1987), and attended Duke University Law School (J.D., 1990).

Joe has been a resident of Folly Beach, South Carolina for over 25 years.  He currently resides there with his wife, Jamie Wilson  They have four children, Jake, Edie, Peyton, and Mary Stewart (triplets!).  His interests include paddle boarding, cooking, and Duke basketball.
